http://members.aa.org.au/wp-content/uploads/2024/03/BWC-2024-Flyer.pdf Meetings, meditation, and fun in a peaceful bush setting – that’s the Bill W Camp – now in its 30th year. Some great sharing at meetings under the stars, morning meditation by the river, a damper cooking competition (BYO flour), a dip in the pool or bring your talent to Red Faces.
It’s a camp, so bring your own everything including a chair for meetings. We provide a cooked breakfast on Saturday morning and a BBQ Saturday night ($5 each) , with a potluck lunch to close the camp on Sunday. Cold water, tea and coffee are supplied – in your own mug. Bring what you need for other meals or use the quality bistro at the park’s office.
The Douglas Daly Tourist Park reserves an area for us which includes a camping and vehicle site. If you are camping ($25 per night) no need to book. The park also reserves us a few caravan sites close to the action. If you’d like to book a powered site, reserve a room or self-contained cabin BOOK EARLY – the park gets busy. Contact the park direct on 08 8978 2479 and say: “I’m with the Bill W Camp”.

Brisbane-Whitsunday and return (4 nights) March 18-22 in 2025
Announcing Australia’s inaugural sober cruise, marking a milestone event for Alcoholics Anonymous down under.
Originally planned pre-Covid-19 with 197 members signed up for the inaugural “Friends Of Bill” Cruise, which unfortunately had to be cancelled. However, with meticulous reporting to the AA Secretary, we’ve been granted the opportunity to relaunch the cruise as part of Alcoholics Anonymous’ 80th Anniversary celebrations. Mark your calendars for March 18-22, 2025, as we embark on this unforgettable journey aboard the P&O Pacific Encounter, departing from Brisbane to Whitsundays and back. With the cruise strategically scheduled just before the National Convention in Sydney (the main event for our 80th celebrations), overseas and traveling visitors can maximize their experience by attending both historic AA events. We aim to unite 400 AA, Alanon, and family members for this four-day voyage.
Professional travel agents, Ozcruising will exclusively handle all bookings, ensuring a seamless process. Don’t miss out on this incredible cruising opportunity —secure your tickets early as they’re selling fast!
